I would have you try to roll back the driver.

To roll back a driver in Windows means to return the driver to the version that was last installed for the device. Rolling back a driver is an easy way to return a driver to a working version when a driver update fails to fix a problem or maybe even causes a new problem.

a. Press Windows key + R.

b. Type devmgmt.msc to open Device manager.

c. locate the device that you want to roll back the driver for.

d. After finding the hardware you're rolling back the driver for, right click on the device's name or icon and click on Properties.

e. In the Properties window for the device, click the Driver tab.

f. On the Driver tab, click the Roll Back Driver button.

Note: If the Roll Back Driver button is disabled, Windows 7 does not have a previous driver to roll back to so you won't be able to complete this process.

I would have you contact the computer manufacturer for further assistance on this issue.

oh yes this was driving me nuts too!!! But I found the solution in another post here.
Go to:
c:program fileselantechETDSimpleUI.exe
if you run this executable you will find the old settings and can activate them again :-D
It seems they mixed up some configuration, in principle everything is there.

I had this issue after the latest update. However my issue is that I cannot make it so the two-finger tap is the middle button. I used to have a scroll down menu off to the side of toggling the option, now it's nothing. So I can no longer use the two-finger tap for middle button, three finger swipe to go back, and a few other options are gone as well.

The drivers just updated themselves, and this trick no longer works. Any ideas? I tried removing the drivers all together and downloading an older version, but for whatever reason, could not get the drivers to install. The Setup program would say that they installed, but the missing elantech directory under program files told a different story. The only way to get the drivers installed were through the Samsung SW Update program, but that's installing the new version that I don't want.

Inertial scrolling is back and my computer is back to unusable.
